In this blog series, we will be celebrating our talented team members. Every person at Ironcraft is committed to ensuring that our products are of the highest quality – from design through to manufacture and installation.
Since our founding, Ironcraft has remained in the Ayre family and grown to become a well-respected, local company that produces a huge variety of wrought iron products.
With over 150 years of experience among us, we believe our success is down to the personal attention given to each and every one of our customers, and our dedication to creating high-quality products.
Despite our growth, we have retained the small family feel and excellent service that is often so missing when dealing with larger companies.
First up, let us introduce you to the Ironcraft yard staff!
Our yard staff have a wealth of experience in manufacturing and work in the yard where they deal with preparation, cutting, punching, steel grinding, spraying and lifting – not to mention going out on-site when needed (undertaken in all weathers and conditions!).
Bert has been with us at Ironcraft for 17 years! He is dedicated to his work as both a fitter and in the yard.
Bert is particularly passionate about keeping the yard tidy and organising us all. Thanks Bert!
Bill has been with us for just under a year and is developing his skills around the workshop and yard.
In a short space of time, he has learned to fettle (trim or clean the rough edges of metal), wet spray-paint, and is often called upon to help with installations. Billy is keen and enthusiastic to learn new skills – a great new team member.
Charlie is our newest recruit. He has been based mostly in the yard (and is older than he looks!). He will be starting an apprenticeship in September, in manufacturing and engineering. Good luck Charlie, we look forward to seeing you flourish!
